Analysis: I wouldn't have put Hutchinson this high if I had made this list following his sophomore year, but I saw some real improvements when it comes to both technique and athleticism since last year. He's the son of former Michigan defensive tackle Chris Hutchinson, and I think his dad has been teaching him some things. The younger Hutchinson is a high-motor kid who has quick reaction skills, shows an array of pass rushing moves to beat offensive linemen, and plays aggressively.

Analysis: The next in a long line of highly touted Cass Tech corners, Gervin has decent size and speed. He's a good all-around player with fluid hips and a physical nature that should translate well to playing some press man coverage in college. He's not quite on the same level as a Jourdan Lewis or Ambry Thomas as an overall athlete.

Analysis: Hayes is a lumbering tight end in high school, but he projects to offensive tackle in college. He'll need to put on some weight, but I like turning tight ends into tackles. He bends well, moves his feet, and can drive people in the running game. Pass protection will be a bigger issue since he plays in a run-oriented offense that doesn't ask him to pass block much, but he has the athleticism to make that transition.

Analysis: McCall would probably be higher on this list if not for concerns about whether he'll continue his high school football career or not. He's a large, stout offensive guard and nose tackle who probably projects to offense in college. He's a mauler who finishes blocks and plays with good leverage. He's not the most athletic player, and he gets too high for my liking when he plays nose tackle, but the potential is there to be a very solid guard.

Analysis: Whittaker doesn't leap off the screen for his athletic gifts, but he's very much in command of his team's offense. His ball handling and footwork are very good, and he has a quick release. He's decently athletic, throws well on the run, and throws an accurate, catchable football.

Analysis: Pearson, who claims a 4.52 forty that is probably exaggerated, just looks like a Wisconsin safety. He's a little bit undersized and not particularly fast, but he's very physical and has good instincts for the safety position. He can support the run, cover tight ends, and play a deep half of the field.

Analysis: Oghoufo committed to Notre Dame in July of 2016. He's an outside linebacker type who's a little bit skinny and lanky right now. He plays a lot of receiver for Harrison, but that's not his future position. He has decent athleticism, but he doesn't stand out among all the other players. I would like to see him play more physically and with a little more of a chip on his shoulder.

Analysis: Day is a tall pocket quarterback who has some decent running ability in a straight line, but he's not much of a scrambler. He reminds me of former Sturgis (MI) Sturgis and Wisconsin quarterback Chance Stewart. Day has a powerful arm and throws a catchable ball, but he has an elongated delivery and is a little bit stiff in the pocket.
